Level of the Hampshire Down in the Corrientes Nationals attracts breeders to improve production in Paraguay

The Corrientes Nationals are in full development, with the participation of more than 1,000 breeders of different breeds and the support of producers in the region. At this livestock event, Laura Mendoza, president of the Hampshire Down Breeders Association, expressed in an interview with Valor Agro that she observed “very outstanding animals” in the Hampshire Down competition, and is already evaluating with members which specimens could be bring to the country to improve local genetics. Mendoza also spoke about the National Hampshire Down of Paraguay, which “was positive”, despite having few animals, and highlighted a fairly favorable marketing, which reflects the good positioning of the breed.
