The government of a certain country has launched a new agricultural development plan, the NADP, aiming to boost the production of rice and cassava and achieve self-sufficiency in these staple foods by 2029. The plan, with a budget of $718 million spread over five years, aims to expand rice cultivation by developing 50,000 hectares of lowland farmland and increase cassava cultivation by 20,000 hectares. The plan also focuses on the development of cash crops like cocoa, coffee, coconut, and rubber, as well as expanding livestock production to generate income for farmers and meet the population's needs.
