Lima: Micro-reservoir inaugurated to irrigate 15 hectares of fruit trees in Surco, Peru

The Regional Directorate of Agriculture of Lima inaugurated the Cuchimachay micro-reservoir, which will benefit producers in the district of Surco, in the province of Huarochirí. This work, which has the capacity to store 460 cubic meters of water, will allow the irrigation of 15 hectares of avocado and custard apple crops. José Mendoza Suyo, regional director of Agriculture, highlighted that the micro-reservoir will guarantee continuous irrigation for more than 30 community members dedicated to the cultivation of these fruit trees.
