A total of 35 farming families from the district of Pachangara, in the province of Oyón, Lima region, will benefit from the inaugurated Ñucun Pampa reservoir, which will allow the irrigation of 45 agricultural hectares and, with it, increase the productivity of the crops.
"A hydraulic infrastructure that will boost the agrarian productive sector, strengthening food security and the economic development of the high Andean zone," noted the regional governor of Lima, Rosa Vásquez Cuadrado, during the inauguration.
The inaugural event was attended by the provincial mayor of Oyón, Arístides Olivera Pérez; the councilor for the province of Oyón, Ángel Ugarte Javier; and the district mayors Aníbal González Mendoza (Pachangara) and Elmer Marcos Flores (Checras), who highlighted the importance of this work executed by the Regional Directorate of Agriculture.
