The Regional Directorate of Agriculture has announced the upcoming inauguration of hydraulic works in the Middle and Upper Valleys of Supe. This project includes the construction of five reservoirs: Pando, Huarihuas, Caral, Peñico, and Alpacoto, which will store over 70,000 cubic meters of water. The goal is to expand the agricultural frontier and improve irrigation for 350 hectares of crops, primarily yellow corn, potatoes, garlic, and strawberries. The project will benefit around 200 farmers and will also include the construction of over 1 km of concrete irrigation canals.
