The Regional Government of Lima inaugurated the Mamayacu reservoir in the peasant community of Naván, located in the district of the same name, in the province of Oyón. The work will allow the irrigation of 30 hectares of crops, directly benefiting the inhabitants of this highland area and strengthening their agricultural and livestock activities.
The head of the Regional Directorate of Agriculture of Lima, Engineer José Mendoza, highlighted that this work represents an important boost to agriculture in the highland districts, enhancing their productivity and sustainable development.
The inauguration ceremony also had the presence of the district mayor Alfredo Torres, who emphasized the positive impact that the reservoir will have on the improvement of local production and the economic reactivation of the place.
Also participating were the president of the community of Naván, Andrés Guerrero Zorrilla, its community members, and the mayor of Pachangara, Aníbal Gonzales, who accompanied this significant advancement.
