Litchi harvest has commenced in Naogaon district despite lockdown uncertainties and low market prices. Wholesalers are not purchasing directly from the farmers orcahards and markets are not crowded. The Department of Agriculture Extension has set a production target of 8,815 tonnes from 983 hectares of litchi cultivation.
