(Jangsu=Yonhap News) Reporter Baek Doin = On the 2nd, Jangsu County in Jeonbuk announced that it will implement a duty system for animal hospitals during the Chuseok holiday to quickly respond to emergency situations with livestock.
The system involves local animal hospitals taking turns to handle emergencies, providing treatment for livestock in urgent situations on a daily basis.
The duty hours are from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
County head Choi Hoon-sik stated, "We aim to minimize damage to livestock farms by establishing a rapid response system for livestock diseases" and urged, "Farmers should pay special attention to livestock care during the holiday period."
