The Brazilian Sustainable Livestock Table (MBPS) has released its official position for COP30, which will be held in Belém. The document brings together evidence, proposals, and recommendations that show how the sector already contributes concretely to the challenges related to the climate crisis and food security. According to the executive manager of the entity, Michelle Borges, the position was elaborated over several months with the participation of the seven links that make up the table — rural producer, financial institutions, service providers, input suppliers, third sector, retail, and restaurants. “The objective was to identify the priority themes and bring to COP a unified vision of Brazilian livestock, showing the sector as an ally of the climate and food security,” she explains.
