Livestock Products and Feed Market Prices for the Third Week of May (Data Collected on May 22)

Based on monitoring of 500 county markets and collection points nationwide, in the third week of May (collection date May 22), beef, mutton, and corn prices rose month-on-month, while live pig products, eggs, chicken, commercial chick, live cattle, live sheep, soybean meal, and compound feed prices fell month-on-month, with fresh milk prices remaining stable. Pig Product Prices. The national average piglet price was 39.01 yuan/kg, down 0.9% from the previous week and up 0.5% year-on-year. Piglet prices rose in Zhejiang, Hainan, Qinghai, Jilin, and Heilongjiang provinces, while falling in 23 provinces including Ningxia, Inner Mongolia, Guangdong, Guizhou, and Hunan, with Tianjin's price remaining unchanged. North China had the highest price at 41.22 yuan/kg, while Southwest China had the lowest at 36.38 yuan/kg.
