Netherlands: Long-term forecast for goat milk price is 64 euros per 100 kilograms

According to the expert panel, at a production level of 1,150 kilos per goat, the expected balance is 326 euros per goat per year. These standards are used in company budgets and in applications for the Agricultural Guarantee Credit and assistance scheme for the self-employed. The forecast for the goat milk price and the balance is based on the price developments expected by the expert panel. Based on their expectations and the 10-year historical average, the milk price will be increased by 3 euros per 100 kilograms. In addition to a higher milk price, a 10% higher level of the feed price is expected compared to the expectation established last year.
