[Korean Farmers' News Agency, Reporter Gu Jeong-min] Jeonbuk Jangsu County announced on the 1st that cucumbers grown by young farmers at the rental-type smart farm in Dusan-ri, Jangsu-eup, were shipped for the first time. This is the second harvest achievement following the shipment of tomatoes in October. This result is due to the young residents selecting high-marketability items by themselves and establishing a stable cultivation system using smart technology. The smart farm complex consists of three 4-hectare glass greenhouses, with 24 young farmers renting and operating 0.5 hectares each in teams for three years. Currently, two crops, tomatoes and cucumbers, are being cultivated. The cucumbers are produced through an automatic environmental control system to ensure quality.
