Lotte Mart has begun selling vegetables with enhanced freshness using 'CA storage' technology and 'smart farm' methods to maintain agricultural product freshness during the summer when high temperatures make preservation difficult. Lotte Mart started selling CA-stored spinach and lettuce and perilla leaves cultivated in smart farms from the 10th, aiming to resolve leafy vegetable supply instability caused by heat waves and provide fresher vegetables at reasonable prices. According to Lotte Mart, in early June, they pre-negotiated with spinach farms in Gyeongbuk Province to secure 6,400 units of spinach, which have been stored in the CA storage facility at the 'Lotte Fresh Quality Innovation Center'.
