Peruvian avocado exports in the first nine months of the year reached 613,947 tons, a 11% increase in volume but a 10% decrease in value compared to the previous year, with the average price being one of the lowest in recent years. Despite international challenges such as the global logistics crisis and competition from other countries, Peruvian avocados are expected to remain in the top 5 export products for 2022. The United States, in particular, has seen a decrease in imports of Mexican avocados, providing opportunities for Peruvian growers. The Netherlands, the United States, and Spain were the main destinations for Peruvian avocados this year.
