The statement was made right after Trump signed an executive order that removes the additional 40% tariff imposed on various Brazilian products - including coffee, beef, fruits, and lumber - amid advances in negotiations between the two countries. "Today I am happy, because President Trump has already started to reduce some of the taxes that had been imposed on some Brazilian products. And these things will happen as we manage to gain the respect of people," he stated, during the opening of the São Paulo Auto Show.
