Recently, the blueberries from the Dalian Guoran Hao Blueberry Planting Base in Wangjia Village, Longtou Street, Lüshunkou District, were exported to Russia at a price of 30 yuan/jin, marking the first time Lüshun blueberries have been exported to Russia.
It is understood that the blueberries grown in cold greenhouses are available 1-2 months earlier than those grown outdoors, with higher fruit quality and more stable yield. Base manager Yu Qingwen introduced that this year, the base achieved production in a cold greenhouse facility, with blueberry yield increasing by over 50% compared to last year, reaching a total of more than 70,000 jin. Currently, over 40 mu of cold greenhouse blueberries have been basically harvested, with a daily yield of nearly 3,000 jin.
Five years ago, the base introduced 13,000 blueberry plants of the "Lanfeng" and "Ziyou" varieties from Dandong for trial cultivation. Now, the blueberry plants are in their peak production period, with the produced blueberries mainly sold to Shandong, Inner Mongolia, and Tianjin, among other places.
