The World Macadamia Organization (WMO) predicts a 7% rise in global macadamia production in 2024, totaling 339,200 tons of shell nuts and 91,860 tons of kernels. South Africa's output is expected to increase by 15% to 92,000 tons, while China's will grow slightly by 1% to 68,500 tons due to dry weather. Australia's production is set to rise by 16% to 56,000 tons despite early harvest rain disruptions. Kenya's production is forecasted to grow by 8% to 46,000 tons, whereas the U.S., Malawi, and Brazil will see declines. Guatemala, Vietnam, Mexico, and Costa Rica are also expected to boost their production.
