Malaysia may start supplying palm oil to UK with zero import duty

According to the Trade and Agriculture Commission (TAC), an expert advisory group to the UK government, Malaysian palm oil is sustainable and would benefit from a zero import tariff rate. In a statement, Malaysian Palm Oil Council (MPOC) chief executive Belwinder Sron said the new report clearly shows that Malaysia's commitment to sustainable development is clear and the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil Certification Scheme (MSPO) is the gold standard for sustainable palm oil certification. “The evidence shows Malaysia's commitment to palm oil quality is clear.
