In 2023, Morocco saw a record high in fresh fruit imports, totaling 123 thousand tons. Bananas topped the list for the first time at 28 thousand tons, overtaking pears which had a 42% decrease in imports. Mangoes maintained a steady increase since 2017, ranking third. Avocados and pineapples completed the top five, with avocado imports surging by 74% and pineapples reaching a record 11.5 thousand tons. Kiwis and apples saw a decrease in imports, amounting to 10 thousand tons and 7 thousand tons respectively.
