Thailand has seen a surge in mangosteen listings in the domestic market in June, leading to a significant drop in market price. The Ministry of Agriculture predicts a 38% increase in mangosteen production in 2022, reaching 378,400 tons, following last year's production decline due to bad weather and quality issues. Currently, the domestic market is supplied with mangosteen from the east of Thailand, with prices dropping by 15-30% within a month due to an oversupply. The mangosteen supply will be available until July, followed by mangosteen from southern Thailand from August to October.
