The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock has established phytosanitary requirements for the import of almonds from Argentina, to be enforced starting February 1, 2024. Almond imports must be accompanied by a Phytosanitary Certificate stating it is free of certain pests and will be subject to inspection and analysis at the point of entry. Costs for inspection and analysis will be covered by the interested party, and they may or may not be able to keep the remainder of the shipment until the inspection process is complete.
