A delegation from Brazil's Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (MAPA), led by Julio Ramos and Ângelo de Queiroz, recently visited New Delhi to enhance trade relations and provide greater access for Brazilian products to the Indian market. The visit resulted in the signing of two International Zoosanitary Certificates (CZIs), which have improved export conditions for bovine and buffalo semen, bovine embryos, and opened the market for bone derivatives in India. The delegation also discussed the potential for exporting buffalo meat from India to Brazil and expressed Indian interest in exporting casein, lactose, and camel milk products to Brazil. Additionally, the mission aimed at strategic meetings to strengthen bilateral trade, discussing import policies for pulses, exploring the potential for exporting Brazilian products of plant origin to India, and seeking to reduce tariffs on products like cotton, orange juice, pork, and poultry.
