The Brazilian government announced new sanitary approvals for exporting pecans to Thailand, and dried distiller's grains to Angola, Canada, and Australia. These market openings are expected to boost trade flows and demonstrate the effectiveness of Brazil's sanitary control system. In the first seven months of 2024, Brazil exported over US$2.77 billion in agricultural products to these four countries. This achievement marks Brazil's 110th market opening in 2024, with a total of 188 openings in 58 destinations since 2023, crediting the success to the collaboration between the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock (Mapa) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MRE).
