According to the weekly analysis of the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (Imea), released on Monday (20), the costs of inputs for the 2025/26 corn crop in Mato Grosso reached, on average, R$ 2,922.01 per hectare in September. According to CPA-MT, the value represents an increase of 2.85% compared to the same period last year. The increase was driven by the appreciation of seed expenses, by 1.09%, and by the rise in the prices of macronutrients, which increased by 10.12% on an annual comparison, reaching R$ 1,289.31 per hectare. According to the Institute, the scenario reinforces the importance of the exchange ratio as a strategic tool for purchasing decisions. “The cost of inputs has a significant weight in the production structure and directly influences the producer’s margin,” highlighted Imea.
