Mato Grosso exports less feather in January

According to the weekly analysis of the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural and Livestock Economics (Imea), released on Monday (9), the export data for cotton lint from January 2026, reported by the Foreign Trade Secretariat (Secex), showed a drop in the volumes shipped after the level recorded in December 2025. Mato Grosso accounted for 192.78 thousand tons exported in the month, a decrease of 27.79% compared to January of the previous cycle. From August 2025 to January 2026, the state totaled 992.73 thousand tons shipped, a 0.42% contraction compared to the same period of the previous commercial cycle, when 996.87 thousand tons were recorded. Until December 2025, the accumulated volume remained above that observed in the same period of the previous year, however, with the result of January 2026, the total began to fall below the annual comparison.
