Mato Grosso leads record soybean exports with an increase of 17.27%

Brazilian soybean exports reached the highest volume ever recorded for the month in September 2025. According to bulletin no. 869 from the Mato Grosso Institute of Agricultural Economics (IMEA), the country shipped 7.34 million tons during the period, contributing to a total of 93.88 million tons from January to September—an increase of 4.83% compared to the same period in 2024. The positive performance was driven by strong Chinese demand, which focused its purchases on South America due to trade restrictions with the United States. This scenario favored the increase in shipments and boosted the external trade of the oilseed. Mato Grosso also stood out by reaching 870 thousand tons exported in September, setting a new monthly record for the state. For the year to date, 28.99 million tons were shipped, representing an increase of 17.27% compared to the total volume exported in 2024.
