Kazakhstan has experienced a rise in meat production by 11.4% in the first four months of the year, with the Aktobe region leading the production. The number of cattle, sheep, camels, horses, and poultry have also increased, while the number of pigs and goats has decreased. The country exported 15.5 thousand tons of meat and offal worth $40.6 million from January to March, with a noticeable increase despite a physical term reduction. Retail prices for meat and meat products increased by 5.6% year-on-year by the end of April 2024. The consumption of meat and meat products per capita in Kazakhstan was 80.1 kg in 2023, marking a 2.4% increase from the previous year, with beef being the most popular meat.
