Argentina: Meat export quotas for the Andean Community and Mercosur were published

(NAP) Through Resolution 8/2024 published in the Official Gazette, the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of Argentina distributed the amount of 906,804 tons of beef for export to countries of the Andean Community and Mercosur. It was established that the meat quotas would be distributed in equal parts, with each Mercosur state corresponding to 25% of the total tonnage agreed for each year. Exports authorized as quota advances in accordance with the 2024 commercial cycle are included in the final award of this measure. To this amount is added a remainder of 3,787 tons that become the Free Availability Fund. The amount to be exported expressed in Article 1 of this resolution must enter Colombia until December 31, 2024.
