Argentine meat exports report for August 2022

Buenos Aires, September 23, 2022. Exports for the month of August 2022 reached a volume close to 56.7 thousand tons of product weight of refrigerated and frozen beef; for a value of the order of 329.2 million dollars. With respect to the month of July 2022, the volumes shipped show a decrease of (-5.0%); while the value obtained shows a fall of (-4.7%). “In relation to the month of August 2021, the exported volumes are (+19.9%) higher; while the value obtained has been (+32.3%) higher. The accumulated figure for the first eight months of 2022 reveals that sales abroad of refrigerated and frozen beef were 417.3 thousand tons of product weight; for a value of approximately 2,450 million dollars. In relation to the first eight months of 2021, the volumes exported are (+9.4%) higher; while the value obtained has been (+43.7%) higher”, said Mario Ravettino, President of the Consortium of Argentine Meat Exporters (ABC).
