During the week of May 20-26, 2024, Poland saw an increase in the purchase prices of live pigs, beef, and poultry, according to the Integrated Agricultural Market Information System. Slaughter pigs were priced at PLN 7.59/kg, a 1% rise from the previous week but 13% lower than the same period in 2023. Pork half-carcasses sold at PLN 10.94/kg. Live beef prices rose to PLN 9.99/kg, while broiler chickens, turkeys, and broiler ducks increased to PLN 4.87/kg, PLN 6.33/kg, and PLN 5.66/kg, respectively, though still lower than the previous year. In the EU, class E slaughter pigs were priced at EUR 220.68/100 kg, continuing an upward trend since February 2024.
