Over the nine months of this year, Russia has increased its export of meat products by 13%, including pork by 27%, offal by 26%, and poultry meat by 5%, said Artem Daushyev, assistant to the head of Rosselkhoznadzor, during the round table "Export of Agricultural Products. Present and Future" at the "Golden Autumn" exhibition. If the current export trend continues, by the end of the year, meat product shipments could increase by 15%, to approximately 950 thousand tons, he estimated.
According to the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance (FGBIS "VetIS"), from January to September, more than 287.1 thousand tons of poultry meat and offal, 266.1 thousand tons of pork and pork offal, over 64.1 thousand tons of ready-made meat products, and 30.5 thousand tons of beef and beef offal were shipped to foreign markets. Currently, the "Cerberus" component of FGBIS "VetIS" has certified about 5.1 thousand tons of Russian exporters who can supply livestock products to more than 110 countries.
