Santa Catarina's meat exports experienced a 3.5% increase in the first half of the year compared to the same period last year, totaling 939.4 thousand tons. Despite this, revenue fell by 8% to $1.89 billion due to a decrease in meat prices on the international market. The state's pork and chicken meat exports contributed significantly to Brazil's total, accounting for 56.2% of the volume and 58.1% of the revenue, and 22.3% of the quantity and 23.5% of the revenue from Brazilian chicken meat exports.
