Indonesian President Joko Widodo met with Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet to discuss various areas of cooperation, including food security and rice imports. Widodo urged for the renewal of two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) related to rice trade and counter-trade mechanisms. He also expressed Indonesia's readiness to contribute to Cambodia's railway and infrastructure sector, and called for increased trade and investment cooperation. On the topic of human trafficking, Widodo emphasized the need for greater cooperation and the implementation of an MoU aimed at eradicating transnational crime by 2023. He also underscored the importance of implementing the ASEAN agreement and resolving the crisis in Myanmar.
