MEF established reference prices and variable fees for corn, sugar, rice, and milk.

By means of Vice Ministerial Resolution No. 024-2025-EF/15.01, the Ministry of Economy and Finance (MEF) approved the reference prices and the additional variable rights applicable to the imports of corn, sugar, rice, and whole milk powder. The regulation, published on December 31, 2025, in the Legal Norms bulletin of the official journal El Peruano, established that the reference price for corn will be $209 per metric ton (MT), with an additional variable right of $0 per MT. For sugar, the reference price was set at $421 per MT, with an additional variable right of $101 per MT. In the case of rice, the reference price was established at $460 per MT, with an additional variable right of $106 per MT for husked rice and $152 per MT for milled rice.
