Every year from May to July, baskets of deep red lychees are transported from the ground and under the forest to packaging factories, with the busy figures in the mountains and the plump lychees intertwining to create a vivid picture of rural revitalization. In the 2025 lychee export season, the Hangzhou Customs supervised the export of 120 batches of lychees, nearly 19 tons. Zhejiang has been a prolific producer of lychees since ancient times. Lychee-producing counties such as Lanxi, Xianju, and Qingtian have cultivated four major varieties: Dongkui, Luzhuzhong, Dingcunmei, and Wandao lychee, with a planting area of 1.3 million mu.
