Mercedes-Benz and Be8 will bring biodiesel that reduces emissions by 65% to COP30

Mercedes-Benz announced this Thursday, the 23rd, that it will take a biofuel solution to the UN climate change conference, COP30, which, according to partial results from road tests in Brazil, allows for a reduction of 65% of carbon emissions. This means that vehicles fueled with the biofuel stop emitting 532 tons of carbon dioxide from well to wheel - that is, from the production of the fuel to its burning in trucks and buses. The comparison is made between the BeVant, a biofuel from Be8, a leader in biodiesel production in Brazil, and B15, the biofuel already sold at gas stations with a 15% biodiesel blend in diesel. The BeVant can be used 100% pure and is produced from vegetable oils, animal fats, and recycled oils, among other raw materials.
