The planting of the 2025/26 soybean crop in Goiatuba, southern Goiás, has been interrupted due to the absence of rainfall in the region, according to information released by the local Emater. According to agronomist Alceu Marques Filho, producers have made very little progress in the sowing, reaching about 6% of the 90 thousand hectares planned. At this moment, soybean farmers are waiting for new precipitation, expected for the 28th, but still uncertain. Alceu highlights that it is rare to start planting in October in the region, with field activities usually only solidifying from November. Emater expects the average productivity to reach 3,600 kilograms per hectare in this crop.
