Mexico: Agriculture recognizes the work of apple producers

The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development recognized the work and commitment of Mexican apple producers with the celebration of 'Our Wealth: National Day of the Mexican Apple', and the unveiling of a ticket from the National Lottery, which highlights the historical, cultural, productive and nutritional importance of this fruit, at a national and international level. By celebrating for the first time the National Day of the Mexican Apple, issued this year in the Official Gazette of the Federation (DOF), the Secretary of Agriculture and Rural Development, Víctor Villalobos, stressed that September 20 was designated as a commemorative day due to the efforts of producers, packers, industrialists and other participants in this productive chain.
