Mexico and the United States guarantee electronic certification of meat products

With the aim of specifying the electronic certification of meat products that are traded between Mexico and the United States and to facilitate and provide greater security to import and export processes, the governments of both countries signed a letter of intent to define a plan of collaborative work. The signed document establishes the interests of promoting the progressive reduction in the use of paper and the adoption of digital tools to improve the integrity, efficiency and authenticity of export certificates for poultry, beef, pork, sheep and goat meat products. This agreement represents the sum of efforts to protect agricultural and livestock health and the health of consumers.
