Mexico became the eighth world exporter of fresh blueberries during the last four years, with sales abroad worth 490 million dollars and an average annual growth rate of 15.5 percent, highlighted the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development ( Sader). The federal agency indicated that the United States was the main destination for Mexican exports of the fruit, with a participation of 94.9 percent and an average annual growth rate of 16.1 percent.
