The US International Trade Commission (USITC) has concluded its investigation into the impact of US raspberry imports from Mexico, finding no current threat to the US raspberry industry, as Mexico's raspberry production remains competitive without subsidies. Conducted in response to a request from the White House Trade Representation (USTR), the investigation also evaluated the competitiveness and government support of Canadian, Chilean, and Serbian raspberry producers. This investigation follows a similar one on Mexican blueberries, which concluded with no threat to the US industry. The USITC highlights Mexico's logistical advantages, lower labor costs, and high yield as factors contributing to their competitiveness in the US market.
