Mexico publishes update on citrus production

The National Service for Agri-Food Health, Safety, and Quality in Mexico reported increases in lemon, orange, and grapefruit production for 2022 and projected growth for 2023. Lemon production totaled 3.1 million MT, with a projected 6.1% growth for 2023, while orange production accounted for 4.8 million MT and is expected to grow by 3% in 2023. The report also emphasized collaboration between the government and producers to manage and mitigate phytosanitary issues such as HLB.
