Beer exports from Mexico have surpassed other agricultural products such as tequila, mezcal, avocado, and tomato, making it the main product with a value of $5,054 million in 2022. Malt beer alone has contributed to a trade surplus of $2.336 billion between January and May of this year. Mexico's beer exports account for 30 percent of the global market, with the majority going to the United States, where Constellation Brands, specifically the Modelo Especial and Corona Extra brands, are the best-selling imported beers in cities like Los Angeles, Chicago, Miami, and New York.
