Mexico will have National Pig Farming Day

The Livestock Commission of the Chamber of Deputies stated that the commemoration of this day will serve to bring to the Federal Government the needs of those who work in this sector. With 445 votes in favor, in the Chamber of Deputies the designation of March 15 as National Pig Farming Day was approved in general and in particular, with the purpose of recognizing the work carried out by said sector and its contributions to the food security and sovereignty of the country. Additionally, this would serve to highlight the value of pork as a food of high nutritional value, strongly rooted in the diet of Mexicans, and which also represents a cultural contribution to gastronomic wealth.
