According to the Conjunctural Report for December, published by the Minas Gerais State Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Food Supply (Seapa), the disbursement of rural credit in the state presented a contraction in the current harvest. Between July and November 2025, R$ 24.03 billion were released, an amount 16% lower than the R$ 28.65 billion recorded in the same period of the previous harvest. Rural credit includes resources intended for the cost of productive activities, investments in durable goods and services, marketing of production, and industrialization of agricultural products. The operations can be accessed by rural producers, individuals or legal entities, as well as cooperatives, according to the rules established in the Rural Credit Manual, prepared by the Central Bank of Brazil and followed by all institutions that integrate the National Rural Credit System.
