The South Chungcheong Province is holding a meeting to incorporate the voices of various experts and local stakeholders into the Basic Plan for Fisheries Village Development, which is being established for a new leap in the aquaculture industry that the province is nurturing as a future food source. On the 11th and 19th, the South Chungcheong Province held the first interim report meeting for the "South Chungcheong Fisheries Village Development Basic Plan" research service at the annex conference room of the provincial office, with the participation of about 10 people including Provincial Government Secretary Jeon Hyeong-sik, officials from Boryeong, Seocheon, and Taean counties, experts, representatives of fishermen, and related parties from service agencies. The Basic Plan for Fisheries Village Development in South Chungcheong is established every five years in accordance with Article 7 of the Basic Law on Fisheries Village Development to ensure the sustainable development of the aquaculture industry and the balanced development and preservation of fishing villages.
