Increasing global demand for raspberries due to their health benefits is coinciding with a decrease in production due to climate change, political factors, and inefficient use of certain varieties. This situation presents a potential opportunity for Peru to emerge as a key supplier in the frozen raspberry sector. The Peruvian climate, logistical advantages, and trade agreements could make the country competitive in international markets. The Ministry of Agrarian Development and Irrigation (Midagri) is promoting raspberry cultivation through a webinar and by developing partnerships with specialized companies. The venture into raspberry farming could not only meet demand but also bring new investments to Peru's agricultural sector.
