Milk continues to rise in price in the EU against the background of a shortage of fats

According to preliminary data from the European Commission, in July 2024 the average price of raw milk in the EU was 46.23 euro cents per kg, which is 0.4% more than in June. Compared to the price as of July 2023, the price of milk in the EU increased by 5.4%. In Ukraine, raw milk cost an average of 35.57 euro cents per kg last month. Compared to June of this year, the price of raw milk has increased in 13 EU member states. Among large producers and exporters of dairy products, prices for raw materials increased in Denmark to 47.99 euro cents per kg (+1.9%), France to 46.12 euro cents per kg (+0.4%), Italy to 50 euro cents per kg (+0.6%) and the Netherlands to 48 euro cents per kg (+0.5%) compared to June 2024.
