The Kursk region in Russia experienced a significant increase in agricultural production in 2022. The number of pigs, sheep and goats, and poultry on farms rose by 1.5%, 3.1%, and 4.7% respectively, while the number of cattle decreased by 2.6%. The region's farms produced 10.3% more livestock and poultry for slaughter and 22.7% more milk than in the previous year. The gross milk yield in agricultural enterprises increased by 34.8% compared to 2021. This growth is attributed to new investment projects and the expansion of existing enterprises, with major dairy farms under construction and already in operation.
