The Vietnamese market has been opened for Egyptian grape exports, according to the country's Minister of Agriculture. This comes after over five years of negotiations with the Vietnamese agricultural quarantine. The agreement includes setting phytosanitary controls for the export of Egyptian grapes to Vietnam. This announcement coincides with a significant increase in Egypt's agricultural exports, which reached over 7.1 million tons and valued at about $4.1 billion from January 1, 2024, to October 30, 2024, marking an increase of over $1 billion from the previous year. The main agricultural exports include citrus fruits, potatoes, onions, grapes, and various other produce.
